If for any reason, you want to know if there is starch in the yogurt you are using or not, you can easily do this test at home using the method I am going to explain to you.
In professional laboratories, to detect starch in yogurt, iodine reagent is used because starch changes color against this reagent.
However, for the home test of identifying starch in yogurt, you can use readily available materials such as butadiene or iodine-glycerin drops that are available in pharmacies.
Well, here I put some different brands of yogurt including high-fat yogurt, condensed yogurt, and yogurt that I made at home into these bowls and I want to start the experiment.
I had butadiene at home. I put a few drops of butadiene into full-fat yogurt and stir it. The yogurt changes color. I also do the same for condensed yogurt, and again the color change is seen, showing that these yogurts contain starch. Now we go to the yogurt that I made at home by myself. I add a few drops of butadiene and stir it. ،he yogurt does not change color, which means there is no starch in it.
This way, it is easy to tell whether the starch has been added to the yogurt.
