You may have heard that they say you should not reheat rice more than once because it can cause food poisoning! Do you think this is true? Yes, totally true, and to prevent this poisoning, first of all, it is better to cook enough rice to be consumed on the same day.
Now, if you have to leave extra cooked rice for another meal, you should pay attention to these points:
Avoid leaving the remaining rice in the pot at room temperature to be cooled down slowly by itself. Instead, you have to pour it in smaller and shallower dishes, for example, less than 10 cm deep. Then you can put the bottom of the rice dish in the water so that it cools down faster! And be sure to store it in a closed container in the refrigerator until the next use.
Be aware that to reheat the rice, heat it until steam rises from the rice and stir it so that all parts are well heated and no cold spots remain.
