The Iranian Plant Protection Organization says that humans are vulnerable to agricultural toxins by consuming food, especially fruits and vegetables, 5 times more than in other ways.
Regretfully, children are more sensitive to residual toxins in food than adults. Because their body weight is low and they consume more food and drinks during the day; and what they eat and drink mostly comes from fruits, vegetables and grains.
On the other hand, the liver and excretory systems of their bodies are still in development and lack the ability to completely eliminate the compounds resulting from the residual toxins.
And besides, some of these compounds prevent the absorption of nutrients present in children's food and this would threaten their health. Having this said, sometimes these harmful effects may not appear at the very moment and cause damage to their brain and immune system in the long term.
